Join us each month for a musical performance from a variety of unique and talented artists!
The First Friday Concert Series runs from October through May on the first Friday of the month (unless noted) at 2:00 pm. All concerts take place in the Shattuck Community Room on the first floor and are free & open to the public.
Friday, February 3, 2017: Erin Krebs and Jeff Johnston, Amazingly talented local vocal jazz and guitar duo performing both original and classic favorites!
Friday, March 3, 2017: Steven Paul Spears with Lawrence University Conservatory Students, Mr. Spears is an exceptionally talented vocalist, “noted for being, ‘most consistently musical, most clear in dictation, ‘ possessing a, ‘stunningly beautiful, edgeless tenor.’” Mr. Spears is currently an associate professor of music in voice and opera at Lawrence University.
Friday, April 7, 2017: Sue Fink, “Romance Gone Wrong (and Sometimes Right!)” is a wonderfully hilarious performance featuring original music on a unique electric harp called an omnichord.
Friday, May 5, 2017: Susan Bender and Michael Keller, “Soprano Susan Bender was a Metropolitan Opera National Council Winner in 1986 and is currently on the voice faculty at UW-Stevens Point. Pianist, Michael Keller performed, “with Donald Peck, former principal flutist of the Chicago Symphony, Mr. Keller performed recitals throughout the United States and recorded for WFMT Chicago.” Mr. Keller was on the piano faculty with UW-Stevens Point until his retirement in 2009.
