The Appleton Makerspace powered by Distributed Hacker/Maker Network is a very active, super awesome Makerspace group located in Appleton. They have been very supportive of the Makerspace at Neenah Public Library and we can't thank them enough! Check them out on their website, and take a trip to visit them and say "hi!"

Instructables, founded by a group from MIT, provides you ideas, fellowship, and a space to show off your creations! You'll find instructions for making everything from tech gadgets to crocheted hats to a full-blown meal on their website.

The Library as Incubator Project highlights the ways that libraries and artists can work together, and works to strengthen these partnerships. Visit their website to be inspired by what other makers are creating as well as to learn how you can get involved!

Maker Media is credited for starting the Maker Movement...a fancy way of saying they helped get people thinking about creating things from scratch! Their website,,  is devoted to providing you with ideas, inspiration, networking, and access to materials. This is definitely a good place to start when you're thinking of making something!
