Joseph Amato
at the Neenah Public Library

Author Joseph Amato will discuss his book, Jacob's Well: A Case for
Rethinking Family History. In the book Joseph traces his
"mongrel" family of Arcadian, English, Irish, German, and Sicilian
descent through seven generations, from pre-revolutionary Massachusetts to early
nineteenth century Maine and New York to the Midwest including for a time the
Neenah-Menasha area. Amato will talk about genealogy, tracing family history and
storytelling.

Joseph Amato is Professor emeritus of History and Rural Studies at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minnesota.
