THE BEAUTIFUL WORLD OF BUTTERFLIES with the educators from the Milwaukee Public Museum as part of the MPM on the Move Series

Butterflies may be beautiful, but that’s not why they’re important! Learn about the residents of MPM’s Butterfly Vivarium while we get up close and personal with these fascinating animals.

Participants will have an opportunity to observe real butterfly specimens under a microscope while exploring how special their wings really are.

Tradition Transition: One Quilter's Journey 1970s-2018 with local quilter, Jill Harman

Jill Harman was part of the 2018 Quilt Contest Exhibition, a juried and judged quilt contest, put on by the Wisconsin Public Television and Nancy Zieman Productions.  Local quilter, Jill Harman, will give an account of her quilting experiences through the years. 

Harman is award winning quilter and member of Fox Valley Darting Needles Quilt Guild and Cranberry Quilter Quilt Guild of Eagle River.

Wisconsin Underground: a Guide to Caves, Mines, and Tunnels In and Around the Badger State with author, Doris Green

Wisconsin author Doris Green will talk about the state’s subterranean treasures. She will discuss the travels behind the stories in her 2019 book, a second edition of Wisconsin Underground: A Guide to Caves, Mines, and Tunnels In and Around the Badger State and will also offer a look ahead at Minnesota Underground, set for publication later this fall.
