A presentation by Christine Kniep, Family Living Educator, Winnebago County UW-Extension on Monday, July 27th at 6:30 pm.
Did you know that this year marks the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War? Join us as the Neenah Historical Society and the Neenah Public Library feature local historian, Kim Heltemes, when he presents "The Civil War and Central Wisconsin," on Thursday, March 19th, at 7 pm. Much has been written and presented on the Civil War, but what about our local story? What role did our citizens play in this historic conflict? Were citizens in favor of the war? What role did our local soldiers play in the famous battle at Gettysburg? Bringing the Civil War story home to our community will be Mr. Heltemes' goal as he presents this unique program.
On Wednesday, March 4th at 6:30 pm Sarah Jungwirth and Lindsey Kraft from the Winnebago County Department of Human Services will present on what foster care is and the need for foster care in Winnebago County. They will also discuss the licensing process to become a foster parent. Information packets will be available to interested families.
Join Linda Conroy of Moonwise Herbs for this fun presentation. Whether you have been fermenting for a awhile or are new to it, you will learn useful "tricks of the trade". Learning to ferment vegetables as well as beverages and even fruit will be included. Adding herbs for nutrition to your ferments will be shared as well.
