Pooches & Pages

Pooches & Pages is a reading program for kids who will attend first through fifth grades in the fall.  Dogs are carefully selected to ensure a safe and fun experience, and the owner/handlers are library volunteers who love helping children become enthusiastic readers. Reading to dogs builds reading confidence and self-esteem, helps a child maintain focus for a longer period of time, and increases the motivation to read. Each child may register to read to a dog for 15 minutes between 10:00 and 11:30 a.m.
