- When is the library open?

- How do I get a library card?
Bring a form of picture identification (for example a driver's license) with a current address. If you do not have a picture ID with a current address, then two forms of identification are needed: a picture ID and some form of official mail that does show your current address (electric bill, water bill, phone bill, etc.) to the main desk at the library. Cards are issued for immediate use. If you do not have a current I.D., you may still apply for a card. However, you will only be able to check out three items. You will need to bring along appropriate identification when you next visit the library. Under age 16, children must have a parental signature. To apply online, click here.
- Do I have to live in Neenah to get a library card?
You do not need to be a resident of Neenah to apply for a library card.
- Can I use my Neenah Library card at other libraries?
Yes, you may use your Neenah Library card at other Winnefox Library System locations. Several of these locations include the Berlin, Green Lake, Menasha, Oshkosh, Ripon, Wildrose, Wautoma, and Westfield Public Libraries. - If I lose my library card, can I get another?
If you are certain you lost your library card, you may apply for another one. There is a fee for replacement cards: $.50 ages 15 and under; $1.00 ages 16 and over.
- Can I receive my hold and overdue notices by e-mail?
You may request your hold notices, due date reminder notices, and overdue notices be sent to you by e-mail. Call 886-6325 and we can add your e-mail address to your account.
- Are there fines for overdue items?
Yes, there are fines for overdue materials:
- Adult materials: $.10/day
- Youth materials: $.05/day
- Reference and interlibrary loan materials: $1.00/day
- Electronic Devices: $5.00/day
- How many items may I check out?
You may check out up to 100 items on your library card, however, there are limits on "Lucky Day" DVDs due to high demand, you can check out 2 DVDs for 7 days each.
- How long can I keep items I checked out?
- Books: 28 days
- New books: 14 days
- Audio books: 28 days
- CDs: 14 days
- DVDs: 7 days
- Videos: 7 days
- Magazines: Adult: 14 days, Teen & Children: 28 days
- Can I return books belonging to other libraries at the Neenah Library?
You may return books from other Winnefox Library System libraries at the Neenah Public Library. Some of these libraries include the Berlin, Green Lake, Menasha, Oshkosh, Ripon, Wautoma, Westfield, and Wildrose Public Libraries. A complete listing of Winnefox Library System libraries can be found at the Winnefox Library System web site. Neenah Public Library books may be returned at any of those locations, as well. Please return Appleton Public Library materials to the Appleton Public Library.
- Can I be put on a waiting list if something I want is checked out?
You can place holds at the library or while using the library's online catalog. You may also call 886-6315, and a we will place a hold for you. To place a hold on an item you've found when using our web catalog, click on the words Place Hold. A login screen will appear. Type in your library card number (on the back of your card) with no spaces and your PIN, which is the last four digits of your phone number. Click Place Hold again. A Submit Hold screen will appear. Check to see that Neenah is the pickup location. If this is correct, click on the words Submit Hold. You will receive a notice in the mail or an e-mail when the item arrives at the library for you.
- If I would like an item that is owned by another library, how do I get it?
If the material you would like appears in our online catalog, you may place a hold on it. The item will then be sent to the Neenah Public Library for you.
If the item does not appear in our catalog, you may request that the item be ordered through Interlibrary Loan. Stop at the Adult Reference Desk or call 886-6315 for assistance.
- Does the library have computers with access to the internet?
Internet: There are fourteen Internet computers available to the public in the adult department, and six available to youth in the youth department. The Neenah Public Library also provides free Wi-Fi. B&W and color printers are available. Black & white copies cost 10 cents per page and color copies are 25 cents per page.
Word Processors: There are two word processors in the Adult Department that have access to Microsoft Word 2003, Excel 2003, PowerPoint 2003, Publisher 2003, and Access 2003. In addition, each Internet computer has access to the above Microsoft Office Suite. Ten of the Internet computers have the 2007 version of the Microsoft Office and 4 have the 2003 version. Ask at the Adult Reference Desk for more information.
- What research databases are available at the library?
The Neenah Public Library has several databases available for the public. Visit our Resources page for a full list.
- Is there any equipment for public use?
We have three color photocopiers available for public use. Copy fees are $.10 per page for black & white and $.25 per page for color. The library has a scanner at the second floor Adult Services desk for no fee. The Library also has microfilm/fiche readers ($.25 per page to print). All equipment is for use only in the Library.
- Does the library provide faxing service for the public?
Yes, the library will send and/or receive faxes for the public at the 2nd floor Adult Reference Desk. The fee for sending a fax is a flat rate of $2.00. The fee for receiving a fax is $.10 per page.

You can connect to the Library's online catalog via the library's homepage or going directly to the catalog.
- How do I change my address and/or phone number?
