Wisconsin's Circus Heritage with Peter Shrake, Archivist, Robert L. Parkinson Library & Research Center

Circus World’s Robert L. Parkinson Library and Research Center is the world’s foremost research facility for circus history. The holdings document the history of the American circus from its inception in 1793 to the present day. There have been over 100 Circus shows in the state of Wisconsin.  Come and listen to Peter Shrake share the history of the Circus in our state.

Tuesday, December 4

Conversations with a Nurse will be a time to gather and socialize and share your favorite holiday memories in December. Enjoy a conversation with Valley VNA nurse Julie or Andrea while sipping on a cup of coffee and having a light snack. Bring your lunch and we will meet you on the second floor in the Aylward Room.

Join us for conversation, refreshments, and of course, knitting! 

The first & third Wednesdays of each month (unless otherwise noted) at 6:30pm in the 2nd floor Carpenter Room.


Bring your latest project or one that you are struggling to complete. Learn about charity knitting projects. 

For new knitters, experienced knitters, crocheters and other needle crafters - all ages are welcome!

Thursday, December 6

Bring music you're working on, something you're having trouble with, play a solo or a duet for the group, play along with your fellow ukers. All skill levels welcome!

Ukers will meet in the first floor Story Time Room.

Drop in for a friendly game of chess every Thursday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend. Even if you have never played, but are interested in learning, stop by and we will teach you. No registration or chess boards required. Chess is played on the library's second floor.

Friends of the Neenah Public Library: First Friday Concert Series

Join us for a wonderful afternoon performance from A Little Encore! Handbell Ensemble.

Five talented musicians perform quartets, quintets and small instrumental ensembles. This experienced group incorporates harmonies on flute, cello and keyboard to enhance the beautiful handbell sounds.

The hour-long concert will begin at 2:00 P.M. in the first floor Shattuck Community Room at the Neenah Public Library. Refreshments will be served and this free event is open to all interested individuals.
