Wisconsin Maps: Stories They Tell

Don’t be late to class! Join the Neenah Historical Society on February 21, at 7 p.m. at the Neenah Library for “Wisconsin Maps: Stories They Tell.” This fun and interactive program will be presented by Appleton Historical Society president, Tom Sutter, who will transform our gathering into a 4th grade classroom setting with famous Wisconsin historian of the past, Dr. Reuben Gold Thwaites, teaching the class. “Students” will take a fascinating journey through Wisconsin’s past and have the opportunity to examine many old maps of the state and local area.

Nostalgic Neenah – Pieces of the Past

We love to share old photos of Neenah and remember the past here at the Historical Society.  Do you have some old photos or items related to Neenah history that you love? Join us at the Neenah Library on January 17th at 7 p.m. to share your stories, or sit back, listen, and reminisce about the good old days.  Please limit your treasures to one or two items and stories to about five minutes so that we can share as many as possible.  We’ll also be sharing about some of the Society’s interesting acquisitions that we think you’ll find particularly fun!

American Indian Government Policies from a Personal Perspective

Join us for a special presentation in honor of Native American History month. Cathy Caldwell, a Stockbridge-Munsee tribal member, will present the history of her family and the unique and challenging experiences they have faced as Native Americans living in Wisconsin from before the turn of the previous century.

History programs are sponsored by the Neenah Historical Society and co-sponsored by the Neenah Public Library
