Dr. Stephen Kercher, Chair & Edward H. Rudoy Professor of History at UW Oshkosh, will present "Sustaining Community in Rural America: A History of Allenville" as part of the Wisconsin Farms Oral History Project. Derived in part from research on the history of Allenville as well as oral history interviews conducted with Allenville residents and farmers, this illustrated lecture will address the ways in which members of small farming communities such as Allenville created and sustained community throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

Unleash your creativity with DIY Design Workshops at the library! Each workshop will feature a different project and all supplies will be provided. This is a free event and open to interested individuals. No registration necessary. 

Create an original painting at the October workshop by pouring acrylic paints on a canvas and letting the swirls marble together, creating an entirely unique design! This technique is fun, messy and surprisingly, very relaxing! 

 

 

Thursday, October 25

Bring music you're working on, something you're having trouble with, play a solo or a duet for the group, play along with your fellow ukers. All skill levels welcome!

Ukers will meet in the first floor Story Time Room.

Drop in for a friendly game of chess every Thursday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend. Even if you have never played, but are interested in learning, stop by and we will teach you. No registration or chess boards required. Chess is played on the library's second floor.

Author Kathryn Flanigan will be at the Neenah Public Library Thursday, October 25th at 7:00pm for a celebration of Wisconsin’s Craft Beer. She will be discussing her latest book “Beer Lover’s Wisconsin” and highlighting Wisco’s best breweries, and brewpubs. See what the Badger State has to offer!
