Virtual Tour with Old World Wisconsin. Immigrant Stories

Why do people leave everything they know with only a few possessions to start a new life in Wisconsin?  Historical and contemporary immigration stories unpack this question.  We will explore an immigrant trunk and engage with a cultural craft. A supply list will be provided, and supplies available upon request.

The Neenah and Menasha Historical Societies will be presenting another installment of “Hidden History of Doty Island” featuring the story of the tennis club known as 'The Barn', the first indoor tennis facility in the state, whose history includes some national tennis greats as well as local talent. Neenah and Menasha know how to have fun, stay active, and enjoy life. You’ll discover some amazing history in this story.

There will be no in person version at the library, however, we will live stream the event on Facebook and also show it on our YouTube Channel at a later date.

History programs are sponsored by the Neenah Historical Society and co-sponsored by the Neenah Public Library
