Monday, August 13

Tabetha Miller a Peace Corps volunteer in the West African country of Benin, will discuss the culture of education in Benin and the comparisons and contrasts between the United States and Benin.  She will clarify the role of the Peace Corps in West Africa and the needs of Benin in particular.  Tabetha is a Neenah High School and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee graduate.  She has served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa since June 2017.

Are you a movie lover? Come and learn how to turn some of your favorite books and stories into scripts for the screen!  We will focus on character development and story structure as you develop your writing and storytelling skills!

Thursday, August 16

Bring music you're working on, something you're having trouble with, play a solo or a duet for the group, play along with your fellow ukers. All skill levels welcome!

Ukers will meet in the first floor Story Time Room.

Drop in for a friendly game of chess every Thursday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend. Even if you have never played, but are interested in learning, stop by and we will teach you. No registration or chess boards required. Chess is played on the library's second floor.
