Thursday, January 25

The Girlfriends Read Book Club at the Neenah Public Library will meet on Thursday, January 25 at 4:00 p.m.  Girlfriends Read features books with strong girl characters, written for ages nine and up but with broad appeal. Meetings include lively discussion, book-related activities, and snacks. Participants are welcome to attend solo or with a friend or family member.

Join us in reading Rain Reign by Newberry Honor author Ann M. Martin.  Meet Rose and her best dog Rain.  Rose and Rain are homonyms.   Homonyms and prime numbers and rules are very important to Rose.  So is Rain.  The morning after a superstorm hits their hometown, Rain goes missing.  Rose must find Rain.   Listen to her story and walk in her shoes.  She is brave and true.  Rain is brave and true.

To register and get a copy of the book, stop at the Neenah Library youth desk, call for more information at 920-886-6335, or email us at youthdesk@neenahlibrary.org.  Register early – space is limited, as are the number of books available for loan.

Back by very popular demand, the Neenah Public Library is excited to announce free Ukulele Classes Thursdays from 6:00pm - 7:00pm, Jan 18th - March 8th taught by Sam ‘Ālika Bader. All skill levels are encouraged to attend these beginner lessons. Be sure to bring your ukulele.

Then stick around afterward for an open jam session. Everyone is invited. Bring music you're working on, something you're having trouble with, play a solo or a duet for the group, play along with your fellow ukers. All skill levels welcome!

We'll meet in the Story Time Room.

Everyone is welcome to attend library programs. There is no right way to join in! If accommodations are needed to participate, please contact the library administrative office at 920-886-6301 or by email at library@neenahlibrary.org at least 24 hours in advance of the program.
