Phosphorus In Our Waterways: A Necessary Nutrient Turned Nuisance

Everyone is welcome. If accommodations are needed to attend, please contact the library administrative office at 920-886-6315 or by email at library@neenahlibrary.org at least 24 hours in advance of the program.

Phosphorus Pollution

Dr. Katie Reed, Winnebago Waterways Program Coordinator from Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance, will be presenting on the issue of phosphorus in our waters. She'll talk about why phosphorus is a necessary element for life but has become a problem for water quality. Does the green sludge we see on Lake Winnebago have anything to do with phosphorus? Can we do anything about phosphorus? Attend to find out, and to hear about how Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance is working to protect and restore our waterways and how you can help.

The program will be held in the 1st floor Shattuck Community Room. Please contact the adult services desk with any questions at 920-886-6315.
