Changing Bird Populations with Bill Mueller,  Director of the Western Great Lakes Bird and Bat Observatory near Port Washington, WI – Bird populations naturally fluctuate, but some species are clearly increasing; others are experiencing marked declines, and conservationists are concerned about them. This presentation will describe examples from many species in Wisconsin, how we know about their population numbers, and what we've learned recently.

Drop in for a friendly game of chess the first Tuesday of each month at the Neenah Public Library. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend. Even if you have never played, but are interested in learning, stop by and we will teach you.

Join us for conversation, refreshments, and of course, knitting!

Bring your latest project or one that you are struggling to complete. Learn about charity knitting projects.

Join the Neenah Public Library for a special presentation by the Shadows of Spirits (S.O.S.) paranormal investigation team Wednesday, October 4th, at 7:00 pm. Cory Jandrin and his team of investigators will discuss their experience with ghost hunting including their investigations of Kewaunee’s historic jail, Hamacheck Hall, private residencies, and other locations throughout North East Wisconsin. Learn about EVPs (electronic voice phenomenon), ghost hunting equipment, and more. No registration is required for this free event.

Memory loss that disrupts daily life may be a symptom of Alzheimer's or another dementia. Alzheimer's is a brain disease that causes a slow decline in memory, thinking and reasoning skills. There are 10 warning signs and symptoms. Every individual may experience one or more of these signs in a different degree. Is the legend of Bigfoot real or imaginary? You decide Thursday, October 5th, at 7:00pm at the Neenah Public Library. Join Craig and Barb Sulk as they discuss the now famous Menominee Anomaly. On May 9th of 2012, the Sulk family found evidence of Bigfoot on one of their trail cameras. The evidence was so convincing, that Animal Planet featured the Sulks on an episode of Finding Bigoot! The event became known as the Menominee Anomaly and the rest is history. Learn more about the Bigfoot sighting as Craig and Barb discuss their evidence and their national television experience. No registration is required for this free event.

Boot Camp with the talented instructors from Absolute Wellness.

Join us for a wonderful afternoon concert with Sean Gaskell performing, Music of the West African Kora (Harp). Sean Gaskell will give a performance and educational demonstration on the Kora, an ancient 21-stringed harp from West Africa.  He will feature traditional songs that are the heart and soul of the Koras musical repertoire in addition to some of his own personal compositions. 

This hour long concert is free and open to all interested individuals. Performances take place in the first floor Shattuck Community Room at the Neenah Public Library.
