The Fox Cities Book Festival presents an event with author, Marcia Bjornerud.

Marcia Bjornerud will read an excerpt from her new book followed by an informal question and answer session for those interested in learning more about how geologists have gradually come to understand the character of Earth, managed to reconstruct its deep past, and realized what that history suggests for the future of humanity.

Marcia Bjornerud is Professor of Geology and Environmental Studies at Lawrence University. Bjornerud¹s research focuses on the physics of earthquakes and mountain building, and she combines field-based studies of bedrock geology with quantitative models of rock mechanics. She has done research in high arctic Norway (Svalbard) and Canada (Ellesmere Island), as well as mainland Norway, Scotland, New Zealand, and the Lake Superior region.

The Fox Cities Book Festival connects writers and readers. One week, over 50 authors, 60 events at 15 venues throughout the Fox Cities! Please visit the Festival online for a full schedule and details about each author and event. All events are free and open to the public, please join us for a fantastic week!
